We loved this short collection of 5 classical erotic paintings on Nigeria’s Pulse magazine.

A PIACERE — enjoy at your pleasure

Sex and data: how research can confirm our suspicions and challenge our assumptions around pleasure. We’re really fascinated by this.

How to bio-hack your brain so that you can have sex without getting emotionally attached: scientists have isolated the hormones that lead to romantic attachment. Could we manipulate them in the future?

If you’re in the UK, and you haven’t heard of Fleabag yet, where have you been? Don’t worry USA — Amazon Video will have you covered from mid-September.

Ever noticed that erotic novels frequently describe female orgasm (sometimes multiple!) in detail, when many other types of media won’t? I hadn’t until I read this article, which discusses how romance novels challenge slut shaming, and change the way we think about sex.

ADAGIO — longer reads, dive a little deeper

END NOTE

Hello from India!

I’ve been here for the last week, but over the last 2 days I’ve been at AugustFest, where I sat on a panel discussing building a business in a niche industry, and gave a talk about leveraging socio-economic trends when you’re designing your brand and products. As nervous as I was talking about sex in India, we had a great reception!

at T-hub in Hyderabad

One thing that struck me here was how dynamic the Indian technology and startup scene is. I met some amazing women engineers and developers too.

I’ll be in Munich at the end of the month — let me know if you’re in town and want to meet up!

Let’s keep elevating the discussion on pleasure.
